• For plastic furniture – plastic patio furniture is the best option for anyone who is on a budget, but still wants to furnish the backyard with comfortable pieces. You can keep your plastic patio furniture squeaky clean with a homemade solution of half a cup of baking soda and two spoons of liquid dish detergent mixed in a gallon of warm water. Soak a towel in the DIY cleaner and wipe the plastic pieces to get rid of stains and the buildup of dirt. As for coloured furniture, clean it with an eco-friendly solution prepared with equal proportions of white vinegar and water. Remember to steer clear of bleach- and chlorine-based cleaners, since they are likely to corrode the plastic material.

• For glass furniture – as one of the most important additions to patio furniture, glass tables should be wiped regularly to prevent tough stains. Furthermore, you should wipe the underneath area at least once a month before the surface becomes extremely dusty and grimy. To clean the glass table, you can rely on a commercial glass cleaning product or prepare your eco-friendly remedy of equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. After spraying the cleaner on the glass, allow it to sit for a few minutes and wipe clean with paper towels or a microfiber cloth. Avoid using brushes when cleaning glass patio furniture, because you might end up with a scratched surface.
